[Eug-lug] Debian equivalent of rpm -V?

I think your looking for the comand dpkg.  You can do a man dpkg to find out 
a little more about the command.  I use aptitude for Debian It's wonderful.  
Apt-get install aptitude and try it out.  I think you'll be impressed.
