I think you should keep working on USB.  If your first disks didn't
work, try a different brand of disk.  I already mentioned that I'm
very happy with my Maxtor OneTouch drive.  Once you find a drive that
works, you should be golden.  The other interfaces will be more
expensive and/or less tested.

Are you building an offsite backup system or a commuter disk or what?
