EUGLUG is the Eugene Unix and GNU/Linux User Group, an informal group of enthusiasts of Unix and Unix-like operating systems, including (but not limited to) open source variants such as Linux.
We welcome anyone interested,
regardless of experience level.
There is an #euglug IRC channel on Freenode that is loosely related to the group. If you are having difficulties with Linux or Unix-related issues; it's not a bad place to ask questions. Be warned that it is often filled with silliness and off-topic conversations.
In lieu of a mailing list, we've got our own subreddit at /r/EUGLUG. In the usual style of the site (and the group), anything linuxy goes.
Once a month we have a presentation on a technical topic. These are generally held on the first Tuesday of the month, at 6 PM. For details, see the Meetup page.

We meet on Thursday evenings at 7 PM. These are highly informal, laid-back affairs, and a good place to come with Linux-related questions and pleas for help.
To find out the current meeting location, send email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is the rare big huzzah in the area about something Linux.
Occasionally there are good classes on Linux and related topics locally.
There are other groups focusing on specific denominations of Linux.
