+ 1 on rejecting political spams in general.

+1 on a strong bias toward rejecting spams in general, with exceptions
like other LUG announcements, the relevant Riley workshop
announcements, notices of relevant conferences, etc.

+1 on trusting Edward to exercise discretion appropriately in such
matters. The list's off-topic subject matter may be poorly defined,
but I think we all have a sense of what it is.
