So, my home network seems to be acting flaky. Out of 3 possible culprits, the easiest to test is the switch. To that end, if anyone has a gigabit switch I could borrow for a week or so, I'd greatly appreciate it. Dumb or not, doesn't matter. thanks, -ajb
