I'm pretty sure the default LinkSys firmware will allow you to dole a
preset DHCP lease,
with a fixed IP address, based on the MAC address of a device on your network.
IIRC, I've seen this configuration work fine, with LinkSys firmware.
I totally endorse the DD/Open-WRT firmwares, but it sounded like
simplest would be best here. :)
And with the DynDNS and port forwarding, you could give your NAS a
public name and let it be WAN-facing... mwah hah hah... [don't].
