[Eug-lug] speech recognition software

Can anyone recommend a Linux based program for speech recognition? Such 
as writing document, emails, IM or whatever...

I have some ideas I want to try out and my windoze friends rave about 
some stuff they have, but of course I ain't windoze anymore...
