[Eug-lug] Fwd: Qwest files to deregulate phone rates

I don't think Joseph Nacchio has a leg to stand on. I also don't
believe what a convicted felon says. Why has he not said this before?
That would have been a great distraction about five years ago when he
was being investigated. Mr Nacchio was convicted for insider trading.
The same thing Martha Stewart was convicted of in 2004. Personally
I have no problems with the call detail records that the NSA asked
for. First off they are just records on what phone numbers people
called and how long they talked do another number. No personal
identifying information at all. If they needed to know who that phone
number belonged to they would have to go though the courts to get the
billing information. The analysis the NSA was doing is the same
analysis the phone companies do to catch phone toll fraud. Except in
this case the NSA was doing it to find people who will cause harm to
United States citizens. I could speculate on why Qwest did not turn
over the records but that would be speculation.
