[Eug-lug] Damaged hard drive

Since you've guys got this thread going, I've got something to add.

I cracked my case open on my server that has 2 Western Digital 120GB
hard drives and my new (SATA) 300GB Seagate, with an old 20GB Western
Digital.

Well, immediately noticed the interior was extremely hot, so grabbing a
digital thermometer, I test the tops/sides of the drives.

The two 120GB (one a new warranty replacement and one original) Western
Digitals read 115-120F!

The 300GB SATA Seagate and older 20GB Western Digital were 100F.

So, in brief, I yanked the two 120GB Western Digital drives out.  Not
worth the risk of heating up my good Seagate main hdd or my other CD-RW
devices.
