Too-shay. Ok, let's just say I agree with you, that you basically can't
browse the web without flash and the future of our children would be in
peril if we tried (I don't, but let's say I do). Ubuntu long ago made a
decision that they were only going to pre-install Free software (note
the capital 'F') with their OS, and the fact that if you want the Flash
Player, you have to the first time you boot is not that big a deal. My
point is, I like that philosophy, I value Free software, and it wouldn't
hurt the media to at least mention that philosophy instead of just
griping about having to install Flash separately.
