Sadly, it should be up to these people to more adequately point out the
fact that when you get an OS for free, all the stuff that comes with
Windows isn't going to be in there. And rather than complain about
wanting stuff to "just work" they can remind everyone that the
difference in price of a linux distro and Vista (or OS X for that
matter) is a couple hundred bucks. Right now, what linux-on-the-desktop
needs from the media is less hype and more facts, rather than pretty
much lying to readers by saying "they could have just put this stuff
in".

This guy is more worried about titling an article with something eye
catching than actually providing much worthwhile information (some of
his other gems include "Why Gaming Sucks on Linux" and last year's
"Review: Ubuntu Linux Just Keeps Getting Better and Better").
