First few years of these, I did that, too:  strung them along.

"O yez, Barrister Yoyo Umbique, I'd love to be the siphon for those 
zillions tied up in probate from your client who was machine 
gunned"--but then I realized I was just giving these buzzards a 
legitimate e- to pass around.
