Thanks Ben - no I hadn't seen this... I was hoping for a more clearcut 
example on how to use it (since it appears the crypto functions have 
already been installed)...

I'll poke around some more...

Obviously I want to have a trigger function that can encrypt data 
(column) as it's written to a table, then later decrypt it as needed...
