[Eug-lug] Safari + iPhone = Killer App

Now we're back on track -- many fine devices exist, but SOFTWARE is the key.
(except for the actual multi-touch input capability.... most hardware does
not have
that, however, I wonder if a multi-scan type of software driver could hack
it,
interleaving the touchpad scan between multiple fingers...)

So yeah, you can put a full browser of lots of things, since most portable
gadgets
are now general purpose computers.  I don't know if their is linux support
for
Journada (iPaqs are mostly okay for it, but I have a Toshiba PocketPC,
yech).

So long as the screen is large enough (and/or pans&zooms enough!), it'll
be great, and just about the same as any other full-featured browser on
an ultraportable device.  HCI, human-computer interaction, is the CompSci
field which I see starting to catch up here.  Like batteries in general, or
regenerative braking systems on automobiles, they've all just been behind
the times.

So no worries Brian, I figured you meant "Killer Platform"... and what
*won't* the
iPhone run??  Well, once the devkit leaks, we'll have emulators out the
wazoo
for it!!!  From MAME to Nintendo, to Playstation, to PocketPC and beyond :))
Leak, devkit, leak!!  I double-dog-dare ya.
