[Eug-lug] one step forward two steps back

Well, I managed to figure out why my monitor kept freaking out while trying  
to install fiesty. However, although I managed to get an install of fiesty on 
my  machine, as soon as the desktop came up, it shut down! And btw to  you 
shmucks who practically shamed me into buying another monitor, THAT  WASN'T THE 
DAMN PROBLEM! Now my desktop looks 8 times better while it  crashes. Oh well, I 
did get an awesome deal on the monitor (19 inch  wide-screen LG  LCD for 
$200). Any suggestions would be appreciated  concerning my spontaneous shut-downs.
