And if you happen to live on land that has year-round water flow with any
decent elevation change, a pelton wheel is a *very* efficient device!!

I've considered even using it on rainwater collection :)
The wind be good, but wispy; water can be directed
and gravity shouldn't be giving out anytime soon, heh.

Need better "batteries"?  Use simple potential energy to raise a big weight,
and let it down slowly, say geared to a flywheel or something...
the weight can be raised slowly by wind, bicycle power, etc ;)
