I'd download the driver first since you're on dial-up. There are
two choices in Synaptic / apt-get /etc.; nvidia & nvidia-legacy.
The 6200 is new enough to fit in the first choice. If it asks if
you want to change to that driver go for it. Then shut down and
change cards. Otherwise manually edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf and
find the "driver" line. Switch to "nv" for no 3D and "nvidia"
for 3D if you have the driver installed already.

There's also some magic "xorg-xserver --reconfigure" option that
I'm sure someone else may know off the top of their head.
