[Eug-lug] Convert MP3 to OMA

Hi,

I bought a MP3 player for my wife, 20 G of storage not much money.  Oh
joy.
The software that comes with it only runs on Windows. Oh no.
I have VMware.  Oh joy.
Linux (I think) keeps VMware from seeing the USB device.  Oh no.
I can copy her music directly to the player.  Oh joy.
The player only plays OMA files.  Oh no.
I can find lots of programs and procedures to convert from OMA to MP3.
Oh joy.
I can't find any OSS programs to convert from MP3 to OMA.  Oh no.

It's a Sony HDD Walkman NW HD5.
It claims to play MP3/Atrac3/Atrac3plus Audio Formats.
I would rather leave it MP3 if possible.

There is supposed to be a firmware update but I haven't found that yet.

Any ideas?
