[Eug-lug] Anyone wanna help us with a database?

Lorraine appears to be emotionally tied to a Mac based solution (CRRC
originally recycled Macs only). However employing application software (even
if it is "open-source") which runs on a proprietary legacy server platform
that does not scale very well, is not very well supported and is known to be
problematic, but at the same time begging for free volunteer sys/db admin
support just doesn't reasonable. I would presume a small-budget community
non-profit would desire the best bang for the buck.and dump the legacy stuff
and go current open-source all the way. And attracting talented volunteer
technical help would be much more likely then.

Lorraine,
I would not quickly dismiss the comments on filemaker. There are many of us
that have been burned trying to make filemaker do the right thing.
You may be commited to ebase as a solution, but if filemaker is part of it,
you are committed to having problems with it.
