Hi All,

  I moved here from New Orleans where we had a pretty vibrant 2600  
community consisting largely of professionals (instead of the 14 year  
olds that the group has reputation for).  At our peek we hosted two  
conferences a year drawing more than 10 but less than 100 participants.

I have painfully noticed that even though there are IT Security  
vendors here we don't have a monthly 2600 meeting.  I am going to go  
out on a limb and try to start one up.  In New Orleans we frequently  
met at bars, but it appears that there are more draconian laws here  
about alcohol.  I have seen that the 5th street market food court  
have meeting rooms that are available free of charge and supposedly  
also have WiFi.  Perhaps this would be a reasonable place to have the  
first meeting.

Please chime in your input; I am new here and open to any suggestions...
