I haven't had any experience with System 76, but ... I took a look at 
their advertised prices, and customization ... they aren't really very 
cheap - competitive, but not cheap.  I would have to assume though that 
unlike some boxes, they should have any trouble running any Linux right 
out of the box.  If that helps any ...

My question would be, how hot (temperature) are those CPUs?
