What would y'all recommend?

Qualifications would help, right?  OK, not a gamer, but I do need grafx 
strength (video capture/editing).

Looking for a dual core, preferably.  At least half-gig of ram and at 
least 80-gig HD.

Burning DVD's would be nice.

Looking at a HP Pavilion dv2000t.

Sounds like y'all aren't in love with Dell laptops?

Brands you love? Brands to avoid?
