Specifically, make sure when it gets to the section where you can choose
resolutions, don't just accept the defaults - I've noticed that in some
cases (ubuntu 6.10) it leaves you with pretty low-res options by default
for some reason, and you may have to cursor down and put a * next to
1024x768 (or whatever you want).
