No, i like the averatec, ive had a problem with the display (factory 
replaced once, and it has a verticle while line (unless i tweek the 
display...)). I also didnt like that they held my laptop at the the 
repair shop for 2 weeks waiting on a new modem (i spent $$$ on express 
shipping, and wanted it retured asap, and dont care about the modem..) 

Averatec sent me 7 key button pads to replace some melted ones for free 
(they didnt even charge me for shipping), which was cool but they would 
not sell me a replacement keyboard (they would sell replace it for me, 
if i ship it to them and pay $150 for it (though the repair guy told me 
they only charge $12 for the keyboard, but only sell them installed for 
$150. its about a 15 minute job to replace the keyboard.

I have recently been very disapointed with sony. I spent a bunch of 
money on their products last year, and its all failed, busted gear :(

All in all... id say i like averatec, and sony does make some really 
nice laptops, but i aint buying!

Ive even considered buying another 5110 and found them factory 
refurbished at the averatec website.
