[Eug-lug] X10/Home Automation

I was reading an X10 article over at oreillynet:

and was wondering if anyone on the list is into this
kind of stuff (misterhouse, home automation, etc.)

I have been wanting to do some camera/monitoring stuff
for a while and this article gave me a few more ideas.

Any thoughts, good/bad experiences, recommendations on
where to start?
