I was recommending that he run cvsco on the tree, but I have no idea if
that's massively unwise to do to BSD ports.  cvsco is a destructive but
reasonably bandwidth friendly way to make a checkout pristine--it nukes
any files not in the respository, blows away any files which have changes
in them, and regets just those files.  =)

There are times when it's handy to restore a tree to pristine, usually
after you've coded yourself into a corner and realize that the last three
hours of work and far-reaching changes are complete garbage.  ;)
